Type of event:

Festivals
Event presence:
In person

The Animal Encounter - Lebanon is proud to celebrate its 11th edition of Bat Night.
This public event offers a variety of fun and educational activities aimed at raising awareness about bats, highlighting their vital role in the ecosystem, and dispelling the myths that surround them.

The program features:

  • Live sessions on bats and their behavior

  • Using bat detectors to listen to their echolocation

  • Simulations of bat feeding habits (fructivores and insectivores)

  • Trivia quizzes and Research stations

  • Painting mandalas, drawing, and making bat masks

  • Close-up observation of live bats

A highlight of the evening is the special moment at sunset, when visitors are given the unique opportunity to help release bats — collected earlier in the day for close-up observation — back into the wild.
