"Podkowcarnia Workshop 2025" on Bat Conservation
The workshop is focussed on the conservation of bats. The leading species is the Lesser horseshoe bat - in Polish Podkowiec hence the names of major events organised by Pro Natura contain the word Podkowcarnia meaning the horseshoe stables.
The participants will get a hands on experience in converting a building into a bat shelter, opportunity to see some earlier projects of the kind, including the first Bat Tower & Artificial Winter Shelter - still in construction. There will be a space for presentations and discussions as well as bat observations near the converted shelters. The Pro Natura's and Vincent Wildlife Trust experts will share their decades of experience in the conservation of bats. Some other participants from different countries will also contribute to the
The number of participants is very limited and it requires registration (via e-mail). All requests will be answered regarding whether we could still accept them.
Organisers cover the subsistence costs of participants.
