Event presence:
In person

On May 20, 2022, the International Bat Night will be celebrated for the first time at the Labor University of Malaga. It will include a very educational exhibition with videos and photos of bats in the world, with posters of all the bats in Europe, Spain, and Malaga as well as a guided tour of the shelters for bats that have been placed around the area, showing our attendees the methodology when working with bats.

We will delve into the secrets and curiosities of bat species, their role in the ecosystem and the importance of their conservation. After the route to check the shelters with photo and video cameras, we will try to see live several of our winged neighbors flying over the gardens of the Labor University as well as listen to two different species of bats, Pipistrellus pipistrellus and Eptesicus isabellinus, with ultrasond detectors.
