International Bat Night - Madzharovo
International Bat Night - Madzharovo
On September 6, Science for Nature Foundation will celebrate International Bat Night in the first nature conservation center of its kind - Eastern Rhodopes. The event will be filled with a variety of activities and interesting topics. Everyone involved in the event will understand why bats are important and how useful they are.
At the beginning of the day, the TreeDoctor team will demonstrate the examination of the health of trees in the area. Along with them, bat boxes will be hang up, which will serve as additional shelters for bats living in the area.
Then we will continue with interesting stories about bats. Children will be able to participate in the game "Mysteries of the Brown Bat". A workshop will be waiting for them, and with our help they will be able to make a toy bat.
Everyone will be able to take thematic photos with our interesting facts that reveal different information about flying mammals.
At the end of the day, we will have a walk around the conservation center to hear the bats up close with a detector that captures their specific sounds.
Celebrate this special day with us! :)
