GIVE MORE FOR THE BATS

For the fourth year in a row the National Park Krka is participating in celebrating International bat night as a part of the UN environment programme. The "Give more for bats" event will take place on the 31st of August 2014 at 19:30 in Skradin. The programme includes: a theatrical performance for children"The little caterpillar" performed by the puppet theater " tvornica lutaka" from Zagreb, children workshops ( making origami bats, participating in interactive bat games, painting and coloring bat masks and crowns..), info – booths (providing information about the National Park). Visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the long fingered bat in a interactive bat cave, and also get airbrush bat tattoos. Children will participate in a night time walk in search of bats with the aid of a bat detector, and also help mount our first bat house. These activities are designed to raise awareness of bats, what threatens them and the need to intensify their protection.
