Guidelines for the Use of remedial Timber Treatment

The Group was established at the AC4 in order to futfil the Action 22 of the Conservation and Managemant Plan: Timber treatment pesticides 

The working group was requested to: 

Using a questionnaire or existing information to summarise information about remedial timber treatment practices across Europe, including information about 

• The size of the industry
• The types of treatment used to control wood-boring insects and fungi
• The pesticides used
• The process by which new chemicals are approved and whether bats 

are taken into account in the process. 

The IWG finished its work with the Resolution 4.5
