This IWG was suggested at AC27 in Bosnia and was established as an IWG later in 2023. At AC27 it was agreed that there was a need to have a IWG on this topic mostly due to the current lack of research into the impacts of solar power plants on bats and the planned largescale development of solar energy throughout Europe. The IWG had its first online meeting in December 2023. Our aims for the group until the next MoP are:

• Collate all relevant literature relating to the topic of Solar Power Plants and Bats.
• Identify the scale of Solar Power Plant development across the range of the Eurobats agreement.
• Compile a summary report of the literature and future development of Solar Power Plants.
