During the weekend of 24/25 august 2001 the European Bat Night was organised in 38 different places all over Flanders (Belgium) by bat walks, slide presentations, bat-pubs, video sessions and visits in fortresses, ice-cellars and marlcaves. Around 4000 people attended the different activities, the largest group was 450 people (adults and children). Our experience is that a lot of children are very interested since 1 out of 3 persons is a child.

Thanks to the financial support of the Flemish Government (Division for Nature, Ministry of the Flemish Community) this yearly activity could be organised now for the third time, and a flyer could be printed on 60.000 copies. The Eurobat posters and the stickers you delivered were also distributed at the different locations.

Once again it was a big success. Till next year!
